You do not need to qualify for the USAT Age Group Sprint Nationals.

This is the qualifier for the 2018 ITU Sprint Triathlon World Championship. The USAT race is non-draft legal. The ITU race is draft legal. There are additional opportunities to qualify for the ITU race. It’s complicated.
