The popular Thursday evening rides have started! These rides are specifically geared towards new riders and triathletes who are looking to learn bike etiquette, handling skills, how to ride in traffic, meet other new riders, and more.
We meet in the Forest Park Visitor’s Center parking lot, look for the bikes to find us. Wheels Down at 6pm. This means we ride out at 6pm, so show up early enough to unrack your bike and get prepared to ride.
Sometimes we’ll have a short clinic or discussion before the ride. As summer progresses, we’ll focus more on the ride. But we’ll always be open to more questions and new riders who are just joining us. We might even have a brick run afterwards sometimes!
Group “B” is the Mentoring group. This is a ‘no-drop’ ride with no set pace and experienced cyclists as lead and sweep riders. For starters, we’ll ride out-n-back on Midland. This route frequently has cyclists, is wide enough for cars and bikes to share, and allows for riders to turn back early if needed.
